My first batch of Mole and Arroz!!

Believe it or not I have never made Mexican rice. I watched my mom make it all my life yet I was to busy or did not care  to learn. I called my mom last night to ask her how to make it FINALLY and I also asked her how to make chicken mole taste good from a Dona Maria mole jar. To my surprise it actually came out good I was relived because I though it would be not so great. I know next time it will be even better.

The ola got a little messy but I was able to manage.


The final result


This style mole is called Pipian so it  has a spicier taste unlike traditional mole which is a little sweeter.

yummy! you'll have to post your mole recipe. Hubby hates the sweet stuff. Look delish!

@ Rf yes I will post it up soon it is basically not a recipe but just adding special toaches to that mole in a glass jar lol

damn, i always get dona maria but ive never tried that kind..the color is way diff. do you put sugar in your mole? i know it sounds crazy but i do, just to give it a little sweet kick.
